For more than seven years Jr. Suns and Jr. Mercury leagues have been providing kids with the opportunity to learn what it takes to win both on and off the court.

These leagues emphasize fun while encouraging fundamental skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, positive adult participation and community involvement.

Jr. Suns/Jr. Mercury Youth Basketball Leagues are associated with the NBA’s Phoenix Suns and the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, offering boys and girls ages 6 - 18 of all skill levels with an opportunity to play in up to four seasons each year.

In cooperation with the Jr. NBA and Jr. WBNA as well as area league affiliates, the Jr. Suns/Jr. Mercury support existing recreational youth basketball leagues through programs for players, parents, coaches and officials.

Such league partners include Valley of the Sun YMCA’s, Boys and Girls Clubs and various city parks and recreation departments.
